Welcome to the eco-romantic bungalows of Kuuch Ka’anil

This is a singular hotel unlike any other in the area because we made our best efforts to maintain the ecological balance in the Bacalar lagoon and the general environment, by utilizing mulch and wet soils to filter clean discarded waters that go to the subsoil; by using compost dry-toilets to recycle organic matters and turn them into plant fertilizer; a grease trap in the kitchen with enzymatic digesters, and exclusively the use of solar and wind power to generate electricity and pump water.

By the same token, in this site we only use biodegradable soaps and detergents, same goes for sun-blocks and bug repellents that do not harm or pollute our environment.
We took great care in the layout of our resort - all our bungalows (only 8 and 2 suites) blend into the surrounding nature. We also tried to use, wherever possible, natural products, like wood and stone structures with thatched roofs,framed by the magical beauty of our lagoon of seven colors!  

Additionally, we offer our guests tour boats, kayaks, sailboats and snorkel equipment for all your aquatic activities.
